FAQ ~ Frequently Asked Questions UPDATE: November 5, 2009 - My Silk Studios are NOW OPEN! Yay! 1. Question: I remember that your website used to be over 250 pages of products.... What happened to rest of your website? Answer: Honestly... I don't have time to deal with that many products. I specialize in SILK, it's my passion, therefore the rest had to go. 2. Question: When will you be accepting "custom orders"? Answer: Life gets in the way of what we really want to do sometimes. With the destruction of my two silk studios in the winter of 2006, income had to be made from other sources, which occupies the majority of my time. I am slowly restructuring my time to allow for more silk creation, but it will take time to be in full-force again. I would LOVE to be able to accept "custom orders", but I NEED time to re-develop my silk art and get the creative juices flowing once again... so please be patient and allow me time to get settled again. For me... Art has to come from within, it can't be forced or put on deadlines. I feel that my customers will appreciate their silks more knowing that each one was a labor of love and not "massed produced" like some other silk companies in the marketplace. 3. Question: I see you have posted some silks on the page for sale, but it says available at Ottoman Trading Co. What does that mean? Answer: I have been creating new designs, "The Peacock" (2008 Design) and I have a rack set up at Dena's Store (Ottoman Trading Co.) displaying my currently available silks. So far, they are a HUGE favorite with the local dance community and I can barely keep up with the demand! I have posted a few photos of them on the website so my customers can see what they look like. Please do contact Dena if you are interested in any of the silks listed that are located at her store. They sell very quickly, but you might get lucky and find that a few are still available for purchase through Dena. Dena is limited to supply In-Stock in her store ONLY. 4. Question: You used to offer your silks via Wholesale... Will you be offering wholesale again? Answer: At this time, I do not have the capacity to create a large volume of silks at one time to be able to fulfill large orders. Eventually, yes. If you are a business owner and wish to retail my line of silks, please let me know and I'll add your name to the Future Wholesale Wish List and contact you when that option becomes available. 5. Question: I have been trying to reach you via e-mail, but I have not heard back from you... why? Answer: I receive thousands of email daily. If I'm ever going to get silks created, I cannot spend all my time trying to answer them all. I'm sorry, but I just cannot reply to that many email and still be able to create silks. PLEASE, Please, please, just check the website for updates and I will try to answer your questions here, since they are all pretty much asking the same things... i.e. When can I order silks?! I am only one person, trying to take care of three separate businesses, between creating silks, teaching dance, my other "job" and still try to have a personal life, my hands are full. I'd like to think that I can take on more... but reality says I can only do so much. :)
